OUR PROJECTS (2021-22)

 – In last one year, we received about 28 number of business enquiries (major / minor projects) for detail design & five for training & three for budgetary offers. The enquiries came from variety of sectors (bridges / metros / bullet rail / temporary works / jetty design / transmission tower) from public as well as govt. sector. Two additional enquires from overseas could not be taken as per OPC rules in India. Anyway, out of these 36 inland enquires, we offered for 33 number (we had to decline 1 job because of nonethical professional practices demands by mediator and 2 due to administrative intricacies!). Finally, out of 31 (i.e. 33 – 2 budgetary) we could secure 7 jobs (results of four offers is yet awaited). Thus almost 23% success rate, which is not bad for a start up. 

 The seven secured jobs contained as below :-  

1) Peer Review of Structural design of a Metro Railway station at Thane, for M/s  - COMPLETED  

2) Design modification of Tunnel Gantry in northern India (Zojila), for M/s MEGHA Infr Engg, Hyderabad - COMPLETED  

3) Structural planning and design of a Pile load test set up – using kentledge method and ground anchors, for M/s MEGHA Engg Infra, Hyderabad - COMPLETED 

4) Technical training to staff of client at their construction site in Chennai (Karaikal), for M/s Welspun India Pvt. Ltd. Mumbai - COMPLETED

5) Design standardization of temporary works Pile load test, for M/s Lanchester Geotech works, Mumbai - COMPLETED

6) Part of Detail design for one of the metro-rail projects in Surat, Gujarat, for M/s Gulermak India Pvt. Ltd. Mumbai – In Progress.

7) Planning and detail design of precast casting yard and launching scheme - in discussion stage.  

Out of these seven, two jobs are yet to be completed. Full payment for four jobs was received; for three jobs payment is still awaited / partly received. In India people want the design / drawings in advance but when it comes to releasing the payments people start giving excuses (especially to small start-up companies). This is not a fair attitude in civil engineering professions! Anyway, change will take some time.

9) Technical Training on Water distribution network & Elevated Water Tanks at Varanasi, for M/s Welspun India Pvt. Ltd. - COMPLETED.

10) Detail design of Tunnel construction Gantries for Rishikesh to Karnaprayag Rail Link Project, package-7B, for M/s MEGHA Engg Infra, Hyderabad – In Progress.

11) Detail Design of a Rock fall Canopy at Katra over bridge in Udhaampur to Srinagar rail link project in J&K (USB Rail), for M/s Palatus Geo, Pune - COMPLETED.

12) Design of 8.5m dia Tailrace Tunnel Gantry at Pinnapuram hydro-power project, for M/s Sri Radha Kishna Engg works - COMPLETED.

13) Design of 6.2m dia Tailrace Tunnel Gantry at Pinnapuram hydro-power project, for M/s Drillcon Infra works, Hyderabad - COMPLETED.

14) Tallest national Flag in the world, for a NGO, Kolkata – In discussion phase.

15) Rishikesh Railway Tunnel - Gantries - Pkg.8 - on hold.

16) Surat Metro - Ancillary Bldg. & ENTRY - EXIT structures - In Progress. 

17) 90m tall Hording design - under discussion.

18) Planning & Design of Precast Segmental Shutters for HSR - under discussion.

19) Design and Fabrication drawings of PSC I-Girder shutter for MJB & VUP, for M/s EKK Infra Ltd. - COMPLETED.

20) Strutting & waling system for UG retaining walls for M/s Viman Infra (c/o L&T Mind tree) for IT Techno park, Kolkata - under discussion.

21) Two day Technical Training workshop on Formwork for concrete - for M/s Welspun @ Karaikal, Tamilnadu....

22) Technical training of Bridge Erection techniques and Launching Girders - for L&T TIIC @ Vadodara knowledge city.

23) Design of NATM tunnel construction gantries for railway project near Guwahati.

24) Underground Z-sheet steel pile shoring system - CTRLS & Viman Infra at Rajarahat area.

Frankly spoken, we could not progress much in this area in last one year. Being a new start up most of the time was spent in company documentation / registrations / audits / compliances / client negotiations / relationship development etc. We only give a few free technical solutions / advice to academic institutes and donation some amount to eminent research institutions (like IITs), and early chartership renewal fees, nothing more! Hope, in the coming year something more concrete can be done towards this area.   In terms of diet, mind-balance and spiritual growth, definitely concrete progress could be attained!  

 We look forward serving better to mid-size design / planning / engineering jobs from private or government clients where the payment terms are fair and timely. Instead of taking too much work (and not delivering anything) we prefer to take sizable jobs. We look forward from direct as well as outsourced design assignments in bridges / metros / power / planning / small buildings / temporary structure area.
